Default Hyper Flash Help

2014 model.
Hyper flash on passenger side ONLY when headlights are on. No hyper flash when headlights are OFF

All bulbs are lighting and flashing.

Thoughts?

Check your grounds on the headlight and taillight and make sure that they are all flashing with the lights on.

Worst case scenario, go into forscan and turn off hyperflash. That’s what I’ve done. Only halogen bulb I have left now is turn signal and those will be replaced very soon.

I just did this to my 2012 F150 XLT yesterday. I also had the hyperflash once I replaced front and rear turns with LED's (from halogens). Definitely had the hyperflash!!

Go into forscan; and open the BdyCM (NOT the as built).

You'll see several different options. You'll want to adjust four:

Left Front Turn Outage
Left Rear Stop Turn Outage
Right Front Turn Outage
Right Rear Stop Turn Outage

In my truck; these were all set to "Enabled". I changed all four to "Disabled".
Write your new values and cycle the key in your truck.

Hyperflash should now be gone.

What kind of hardware do I need to do this?

You mean for the forscan? Google will help you quite a bit there, as it's already been covered many times.

But, you'll need an HSCAN/MSCAN OBD adapter from Amazon (about $20) and a laptop.
The forscan software is free; but you'll definitely want to purchase the extended license (I think $10 per year).

Once you have those two things; you just plug up to your truck, open the software, and make the changes.

Lol. Sorry @LexPD. Didn't realize that was you.. and didn't mean to steal your question. I'll get the hang of this eventually.
