I finally have an update! I replaced the HVAC module with the proper part number from the proper year and everything works perfectly fine. Found the part for $100 online.

I realize this is an older thread, but I'm having the same issue with my 2011 and was wondering if you remember where you found the part online?

I ended up finding it used on eBay but it is very important you match not only the part number but the year and options as well. Junkyard may find luck if you don’t have a high trim level and low risk compared to $100+ on eBay

Thanks so much!

Please forgive my ignorance, but how do I find the precise part number for my year / model / trim?

No ignorance it varies by model somewhat so best bet is to take it out of your dash and find the number. It is not a hard job, it is a module underneath the storage/speaker area in the center of the dash. You could get to it pretty much just by removing that and a couple more bolts securing it to dash. Maybe 10 minutes. Snap a photo and put it back until you can find a replacement

Ok. The touch screen head unit is already out of the truck, and the ac controls are under that, so it should be easy to get to. And just to be clear, it was the HVAC control module that you replaced? Or no?
