Default Which tpms to buy?

My truck is a 2008 F150 heavy duty (in other words, it's an f250 with an f150 body) with the 5.4 liter engine and 17" wheels, and one of my tire pressure sensors has died. Does anyone know what the Ford number is for the correct sensor replacement? There are so many numbers out there, and most that I've found for the f150 have been for the light duty trucks. I don't want to buy the wrong one and then find out the tpms still doesn't work. Thanks.

Why in the hell would they mandate that? Safety? Fuel economy?

A buddy of mine recently got an H&S mini maxx tuner for this 6.4 superduty. He was telling me that his tuner will delete this problem and the need to get TPMS installed . If that's the case you would think more tuner manufactures would offer this same function.

put the 4 sensors in a glued ABS tube that you can add 40 psi of air too... toss the whole thing under the seat

Why not just install the sensors the right way and be done with it. They aren't that expensive or hard to do. Why wouldn't you want them?

Safety issues after the late 90's explorer tire blow outs/ roll overs which led to recalls.

Tpms light will eventually come back on, if the sensors don't feel rotation they will fall asleep throwing the light back on.
