Default How to remove the diamond step plate?

We got those suckers to pop off super easily on a crew cab but when we try to take off my supercab's they won't budge. They're 1 piece and contoured vs 2 piece which means I think it's put on differently. We're applying a fair amount of force but they won't pop off like the screw's do, and I'm afraid of just snapping a tab or worse the plate itself. So I figured I'd research it online and found zilch.

Summary: How do I pop off the diamond plate steps covering the truck's wires on a supercab?

They are a PITA to pop off. I got about half way from the back to down the "hump" and couldn't get any further. Luckily I could pry them up enough to jam my RCA / remote wire under on the driver side and the same for the passenger side for my subwoofer power cable. The backs popped up easier than the front. I was also using panel removal tools which almost broke.

I would think the easiest way would be to use 2 people one to use a needle nose under the truck squeezing the the metal release piece together, and one above pulling the sill plate up! Just my .02!

Dang didn't even think of this. The clips are exposed on the underside?
