My opinion of CAI might have changed.

My opinion of CAI might have changed.
So today I was bored and decided to take my CAI off and put the stock back on bc I wanted to see the difference in sound. Well, let me first say that I was one that really thought they were a waste of money bc the stock was just as good if not better I just so happened to have a coworker selling his sct AND k&n CAI for a rock bottom price off 200 dollars for both so I figured why not. But I have to say (no dyno numbers) I really do think I felt a difference. Definitely in the middle of the power band. Never really had a comparison bc I put the programmer and CAI at the same time. Just thought I'd share my experience.
Mods are sct 5 star 87 performance tune, k&n CAI, and magna flow cat back SI/DO.

Retired and loving it!
So, you think that the stock intake was slower? What about intake noise?
I've always added a K and N intake to all my vehicles, but am hesitant to do so with what I've heard with it dusting the bearings on the EB.

Bigger motor generally
=bigger gains from intake...I took my afe stage 2 off a while back cause it droned like crazy. Unbearable and I'm still considered a kid to most...I miss the WOT scream though. Wonder if different brands have different amounts of drone. My 04 with an AEM didn't drone bad at all besides certain rpms towing my 22 foot boat...
