Default How rare are single cabs with the 5.0?

Will be in the market soon and I really want a single cab STX with the 5.0 with decent options (for example, I can't deal with crank windows in 2016). Seems these aren't too plentiful around the country and especially not in my area. Are they known to be rare?

Maybe I'll have to settle with a super cab.

When I bought my 2014, as a left over in April of 2015, almost everything the dealer could find was short wheel base trucks with 3.7s, but I know there are a bunch of guys here with 5.0 trucks. You'll just have to look around.

Not sure what year model you're interested in, but I found a 2013 5.0 STX lease return with low miles and still under warranty. If you limit the options\models that are a must have, you can cast a wider net and likely find one.

Pretty rare but not extremely rare. You'll see a lot more of them as the plain white XL/fleet trucks. Finding the loaded STX 5.0's will be harder for sure....partly because Ford made less of them, partly because everyone who has one LOVES it and doesn't want to sell it.
If you want a late model V8 RCSB that doesn't look like a fleet truck, Rams and GMs will be easier to find. Seems like Ford intentionally makes them rare so they can try and push you into a bigger cab. Their competitors don't seem to do this.

Where I live seeing a regular cab regardless of engine is just plain rare in itself.

The local dealer had a RCSB STX sport, 5.0, 3.73, and backup camera about a year ago. They let me use it as a loaner while mine was in for a transmission issue. Pretty sweet truck!. Another local dealer has a 15 or 16 sport on the lot but I don't know which engine.

Thanks guys... The only interior options I care about are power windows, I'd like to have the basic Sync system, and I'd prefer the tan interior over gray.

This might be a situation where I'll have to look for several months to wait for my "perfect truck" to appear.
