Default how fast do you idle

my EB seems to idle fast... speed wise. after it warms up and I hit the brake or am trying to go slow like driving through a car lot to look, I damn near have to stand on the brake to go slow. almost like the truck is fighting me to stay going faster. also have noticed a few times after I start the truck and go it takes off abnormally fast while I transition to the gas pedal from the brake. I usually wait for the initial fast rpm to drop to normal before I take off.

anyone else experience this?

Mine idles just above 500 RPM. This cabin is so quiet and vibration free, that sometimes I forget the truck is running

From memory, my 6.2L once warm, in park...it's just below 700 rpm. In gear, stopped...about 550. I'll check later when I head home from work and repost.

Me, too. I've never experienced what the OP describes. After first starting my truck for the test drive, I nearly attempted to start it again while it was already running, because I really didn't perceive that it cranked up. SoundScreen technology?

I don't have SoundScreen on my FX2. But I'm sure having it would be a bonus.

my idle is fine. I worded the title a bit wrong... it idles around 600 rpms. what is odd is the jumpiness when I put in gear and go. I am really never in a hurry so I don't do it fast. tonight it did it again when I left work. if I would let it... while in gear I think I could go 10mph without hitting the throttle. when I brake it feels like the truck is still trying to accelerate a little. sitting at a stop light I have to put more than usual pressure to stay stopped.

My 5.0 does this. Well, at least the deceleration part. I think its the torque converter locking up at low rpms, and then the "Pushing" feeling the truck does as you press on the brakes is before the torque converter unlocks. Only thing that makes sense to me.

My new '13 eco takes a minute or two to wind down from about 1100rpm (when i first start it up) but when its warm I'm at the 5-600rpm range.
