Default How dumb of an idea is this?

So my 2013 FX4 is going to be here in 3-4 weeks and I'm going to immediately install the camburg performance kit with new tires/wheels. Instead of paying for a new set of TPMS sensors i'm going to just use the money that I would have spent and buy a SCT programmer and disable the TPMS.

Stupid or smart?

Do you know how to check tire pressures, you just answered your own question.

Can you not take the TPMS off the factory wheels and put on the new ones?

Why not just move the original ones over to the new tires and wheels?

I wouldn't move the TPMS, Thats just me. I know when my tires are flat.

I've not had them on my truck since it was basically new.

i'm going to sell the wheels/tires and don't want to pay someone to unmount and remount the tires to get the sensors out.

Me being cheap

Im getting new rims for my 12 next month and I dont plan on swapping it over. Figured I can sell the stockers easier with the sensors and I can check a tire pretty easy. lol
But I prob have a couple tuners around that I can turn the light off with as well....

Tires don't have to be dismounted to remove the sensors. Just pop the bead on one side and push the tire down to take them out. Put an old style valve stem back in and the job is done.

It's not costly job. I do it probably a dozen times a week for customers.

It's obviously free when the tires and wheels are purchased from us.
