Default How Dirty Is This PCV Valve?

I'm not a wrench, but I play one on occasion. This was one of the easier jobs... I do not know if the condition of this valve represents a problem or normal use. The engine has 105,000 miles on it and I've only owned it since 99k.
Thanks for your input.

Does the valve move freely inside?

Did that come from the drivers side or passenger side? Wondering if that's just a sort of nipple on the drivers side for the hose to connect to. My PCV valve is blue, think I've seen some others in brown, although maybe it use to be. They are cheap to replace and at 100k I'd just do it for the $10 ish that it cost.

Passenger side. There are blue rings
on the tube.

I'd still replace it. They are cheap.

I did replace it. I was wondering if this amount of dirt was an indicator that something else may need to be addressed?

Mine was oily and a little stained, but didn't have any crud at 100k. Assuming that is crud? Or is it the plastic thats buggered?

Someone else may know what / if it indicates anything. If it were me I'd make sure to do regular oil changes on time and check your fluid level periodically.

Everything else is running well and topped up?

Runs like a champ. Timing chain replaced at 101k, shop said there was minimal sludge for a 100k engine. Yes, that is crud... Thanks for the replies!

I wonder if it was ever changed. I change them once a year.
