How common is the shudder issue
Here's the deal im going to get a new truck in july I used to be a chevy guy but had 1 97 chevy fail my current 02 chevy likes to eat intake gaskets and my 92 mustang gt ( sold now ) had not one problem so Im starting to go ford and quick.
But the question is how many trucks really have the shuddering issues. It could be because your not going to post if your truck is fine but its sounding like a good 80-90% have this problem
Im looking at 5.0 STX's with the 3.55 rear end and was wondering
How many trucks really have this issue? Percentage wise or real life scenario wise like " Me and my 10 buddies all have 2011 f-150s and not one shudders or vice versa"
Thank you

Take a look at the roadmaster active suspension group buy... A proven fix for the low speed shudder based on some forum members experience. Looks like about 20 takers in the last few weeks, much less than I thought, based on the noise level here.
Couldn't tell you what the numbers are like. Just test drive the truck you intend to buy and put it through its paces...
I was a Chevy guy myself, had a 93 Cheyenne and then 3 Silverados back to back over the last 19 years before giving the F150 a shot. I've got a few minor gripes with the F150. Tiny things really. But where it counts, I absolutely love how it drives, the mileage is as good as I hoped and its a lot quieter and smoother than my 2010 Silverado was. Coasting along on smooth roads its almost eerily silent compared to the Silverado, but give it gas and the V8 sound is definitely there. First time I punched it my son thought it was thunder LOL. While I find it a lot smoother most of the time, the suspension is stiffer and on bumpy roads I can feel every crack and bump, but I really like the solid feel it gives. It also corners a little nicer, I always found my Silverados a little soft in the corners.
Mine is a 5.0L XLT 4x4 supercrew with 3.55 rear end and locking diff to list the stuff that counts.

80-90%? Where'd you come up with that? I highly doubt its anywhere near that. I have a 2010 STX with the 4-speed, and can barely even feel it shifting. Let me whip out a random percentage...90% of the shuddering threads on this forum, are people asking about how common the shuddering is.
