Default Hood Decal

I have the appearance package on my truck with the hood decal. I noticed that after it rains and the water dries off the hood the decal gets spots in it. They won't wipe off but disappear after sitting in the sun for a couple of days.

Is this normal, and is there a way to stop the spots from happening in the first place?

Yes I've tried wiping it with spray wax. I have even put a couple of coats of wax on it when there weren't any spots showing hoping it would stop them. It's like the water makes condensation inside the decal, then once it gets warm enough from sitting in the sun they go away.

Maybe the decals adhesive isn't sticking well, are the spots always in pretty much the same place? The heat from the sun would then cause the decal to re-stick and dots disappear. Who knows but I would let the dealership take care of it.

Ya, I think I'll head over to the dealership tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue.

It's dark out here so this is the best I could do.

It is not normal. It almost seems as if water was getting under it.

Either water under it or something had messed up the laminate on the decal
Warranty should fix it
