Default Hood/ Bug Deflector feedback

Looking for the type deflector which covers the top chrome bar (xlt). Some follow the curvature of the grille which I dont want.

I'm attempting to cover the upper grille some, I don't care for all the chrome mass. The pics of the factory deflector conforms to the grille and others I've seen on the net do the same.

Weathergards pics looks like it may cover the top portion of the grille but not sure, anyone know for sure?

Weathertech covers the top bar of the grill.

I'm leaning towards that, but there are some decent AVS ones as well.

Does anyone know what the differences are (quality wise) between the Weathertech and the AVS brand? Thanks!

Not to high jack your thread.....but do these create enough airflow to keep some of the bugs off of your windshield?
I can clean the grill much easier than climbing on the running boards and trying to reach the middle of the windshield!!!!

Does it follow the curvature of the chrome grille? The one I have seen did and I don't want that as I stated.

Anyone with aftermarket deflectors notice much additional wind noise? I had the chrome short Ford one and it vibrated like the dick'ns, they changed to smoked full width Ford one and it wistled in the wind. Not real bad but if aftermarket ones dont (not sure if the type that round around the fenders would) I would rather go that route.
