Default HIDs installed

Today I installed my new HIDs I bought from RaptorRetrofits; I went with the black, new OEM lights because I am not a big fan of aftermarket stuff or the looks of those lights.
Anyway, the installation was easy and straight forward with the Morimoto conversion harness. I love the light output, what a difference compared to the stock halogens. Only thing besides the installation was to adjust the left headlight as it was to low. I brought it up to the tape marks I had put on the garage door where the old lights line was.

Correct, that was $1150.00 well spent!

I hope that I can recoup a little when/if I sell my stock lights, usually there is somebody looking for the black FX lights.

I paid $1,300 but that was when they 1st came out and I hate to tell you but you paid way too much for them at this point in time, you can get the whole set up with harness for $750.

I've seen those before I bought mine. They are refurbished; mine are new, including ballasts and bulbs; and I have a two year warranty. Like they say....you get what you pay for.

Good catch, didn't notice the refurb but they come with a 1yr warranty. Mine were also brand new.

Sometimes but not always, I paid over $60 bux for some PIAA fog light bulbs that were supposed to match the oem hid color but didn't. Sent them back and put in a set of Hoen bulbs that match perfectly and only cost $30

You know, in the end I spent way to much money on my toys anyway. This month the HIDs, last month it was an OEM navigation kit. I not even going there what I sink into my Monte Carlo SS and my Harley.

Hey....can't take it with you and you only live once.

I was just reading that thread. I agree, the OEM fog lights suck, they a worthless. What I don't get is that the ones on my 2010 Ram were outstanding (I think they use the same bulb as the F-150). Yea, the Hoen bulbs are probably next.

Look one more time at the options. When you add the ballast type they jump up over the thousand dollar mark. You can by these decontented if you want. Still they are refurbs and/or take offs. TRS also sources from The Lighting Firm like Stage3

Dawson's prices at RaptorRetrofit are very competitive as he's moving a pretty high volume for a small outfit. The guy does a ton of retrofits.
