Sorry if this is dumb, but I've been searching a lot and can't really figure it out.

I have a chrome package XLT with the chrome/grey HIDs. If I wanted to switch to the black OEM HIDs, shouldn't I just be able to swap housings and keep the original bulbs and ballasts? If that's true, where the heck would I buy just the housing? It seems like everything HID related is aftermarket with bulbs and ballasts included.

Ebay - search for decontented oem hid and you'll find what you're looking for.
