Default HID dillema

Hey, I have Xentac h13 8000k pnp in my 2013
F150 for headlights and I'm VERY unimpressed. I had assumed 8000k would have about equal light output to my halogens, or hopefully a little more.

I would say I'm down to 1/5th the output.

What's the deal?

I am thinking of doing the Morimoto Mini H1's - can I get some people's advice here?

The light visible on the gravel road is 90% from the xentac 8000k h10 kit in fog lamps. It all looks nice, but no light past 30' in front of truck
