Default It hesitate's

2011 FX4 Scab
There's a slight hesitation between when I turn the key and my truck turns over. Never noticed that before. Any thoughts?

Given it's age, have the battery checked - especially a load-test.

Also, check all the battery and starter terminals for corrosion and/or tightness - clean and tighten as necessary.

Seems to be a fairly common for years with the F150's. Some experience it, some don't.
If you Google it, you'll see several threads about various years on this website.
Some think it's about the computer detecting the key and going through the start up routine.
I don't see it as any big deal personally. Never not started or left me stranded anywhere yet.
I've been dealing with it off and on for 5 years, with new and original battery. No fuse 27, did the fuse 70 mod couple years back.
Just did it this morning. Turned key, .5 second pause and it started right up.

The ignition is computer controlled, it's got half the workings of a push-button start. If it's a hesitation before any starter action, that might be pretty normal. I'd have to agree with that line about "Some think it's about the computer detecting the key", whatever it's doing.
