Default Help with wheels

First off, yes, I tried going through the sticky regarding wheel/tire/lifts but that thing is so long and I could not really find the info I was looking for.

I recently put a 6" Rough Country lift on my 2012 F150 4x4. Now it is time to buy some new wheels/rims and tires. Tires are going to be 35/12.5/20 and I want to run a 20x10 wheel. My question is, what backspacing or offset should I be looking at to clear my components without rubbing? RC recommends a 18x9 wheel with a 4.5-5" backspacing but they don't have any info for running larger wheels.

Thanks

I have 37/12.50/20 with 6” Rough Country, wheels are 20x10 -19 I think. Check out Custom Offsets they’ll have all the info you’re looking for.

You might consider using these online tools to get an idea if wheel backspace/offset will be correct for your truck.

I talked to Custom Offsets and ended up with 20x10 ET-12 with 35/12.50/20.

Talked to Custom Offsets, they told me 0 to 12 offset, seems a bit off considering Andrew is running -12 and Stone -19. So I am still lost. haha

My -12 is aggressive and took some trimming on the front back (+ some hammering) to keep it from rubbing. 0 would have been perfect. BUT.....I'm running Bushwacker flares & needed the additional offset to fill them. With -12 the wheel/tire sticks out slightly - that's why I think 0 would be perfect with the bigger flares. Are you going with flares or OEM? Take a look at these shots - they may help. The Bushwackers are 2.5" flares.

Thanks Andrew, I would prefer to have them stick out a bit. Not a fan of the OEM look with bigger wheels and/or a lift. To me they look tall and skinny if you don't pop the wheels out a bit and just no longer look proportionate. Haven't decided if I will run flares or not. Only concern with trimming I have is that I have an offroad bumper so not sure if the same trimming that people with stock bumpers have had to deal with. If I do, it's not gonna be as easy as cutting some plastic. haha

If you're going to run 35" on a 6-inch suspension lift you shouldn't have to do any trimming at all.

According to Rough Country's website, they recommend 4.5-5" backspacing with the 6-inch kit. So as long as you work off that as your baseline you should be able to find what you're looking for.

I'm running a 3-inch lift with 35" on 17x9 -12mm and they have a nice aggressive poke and 4.5" of backspace. I also didn't have to do much trimming aside from the front splash guard.

I get what you're saying but their recommendations are for an 18x9. I'm looking to go 20x10. Just trying to figure things out before spending a couple G's on wheels. Wish there was a way to test fit different offsets.
