Default Help with keypad (not working)

So I have the keyless entry keypad and cannot get it to work. The manual has a few different options/instructions and have tried them all. Checked fuse. Haven't used it for a long time and don't even remember if the buttons light up when depressed? Is there something I'm missing? Is there anything in the computer that could have been turned off?

Test the buttons for light activation when depressed. Press each button one time and if the key pad lights up, that button is good, wait for the lighting to go off and test each other button in succession, if one don't light up you have a bad key pad, if all button presses activate the back light you have other issues.

All the buttons do light up, so at least there's power going to the pad. I'll have to drop by the dealer and verify my number.

Can you lock the truck by pressing the 2 bottom buttons?

Your code is retrievable without going to the dealer. Google your year and "keyless entry code" for instructions. Tons of videos and instructions. Here's one:

I think you mean the two rightmost buttons. Different trucks.

Well this is weird............like I said haven't used for a couple years so don't remember what number I had. . I was using the code that is on the little card with the owners manual which didn't work. . Checked at the fuse panel, and found a sticker right on the front. Didn't have to dismantle the other plastic to look on the back side. That number is totally different than the card. However the # off the fuse box is the correct one. Keypad entry now works perfectly.. No idea where this card came from, but now is in the garbage.

I've seen that before as well. Did you buy the truck used?
