I have a 2010 XLT Screw with a 5.4. I ABSOLUTELY love my 5.4. Yes the EB is more powerful and loaded with torque. Yes the 5.0 is more powerful and sporty. Two very fine motors. However, for the price, the 5.4 mated to the new 6 speed is bad *** for me.

I have cold air i take, true dual exhaust, 3.73 gears POSI, and an SCT turner with 5 Star tunes and I could mot be happier.

Dont try to keep up with the Kardashians man!!
Your old 5.4 was hooked to a 4 speed. Try driving the 09 with the 6 speed. Its much better.

Guess I'll pick the white '09 FX4 screw 6.5 because that's exactly what I drive already, got mine for $20000 in 2011, I wouldn't pay that for the same truck now.

Don't look at that 5.4 in 04 thru 08 terms. The 5.4 mated to the 6 speed in 09 is a whole new animal. Much, much better.

I have a 2010 with the 5.4 and my brother has a 2008 with the 5.4. Both supercrews 4x4 with a 3.55 rear. My brothers 08 is a lot better driver then my 2010. He drove mine the other day and was why is yours so slow.

I have a 2010 5.4.. actually had the choice between my 2010 fx4 and a 2011 EB.. chose the 5.4.. I have a volant cold air intake and sledge programmer.. very very happy with it.. honestly. Go with the 2009.. less problems to worry about.

That doesn't make any sense at all.

Buy new at a good price, or close to it. Ford carrying costs will be much lower than the banks, on new units. The prices that you are quoting are well above black book wholesale. The minute you drive off the lot you truck will be worth that to you, not what you paid. At least get something that will have a warranty when you are dealing with such differentials in price.

1. 2009 FX4 SCrew 6.5' Bed 5.4 V8 with 87,216 miles - $20,342

2. 2011 Lariat SCrew 6.5' Bed 3.5 EcoBoost with 79,149 miles - $24,943

My Payments on the 09 would go up about $60 vs $125 for the 11 however the EcoBoost would get better mpgs and I am still thinking twice about the 5.4 again...
