Default Heated Seat question?

I have a 2009 Platinum and I have a question regarding the heated seats. My seats seem to have three temperatures, HOT, OMG HOT, and SIZZLING.. The three position switch has some effect, but even the lowest setting is HOT! Has anyone (or everyone) noticed the same thing?

Thanks!

My low and medium settings arent that bad, but I will agree that the top setting is really hot. I can usually only keep it on 3 for a few minutes.

I agree, they are all almost too hot.

If it's too hot, Im guessing its not cold enough outside to use them.

Yeah.. almost all the 3 buttons have the more temperature, among which the topmost have somewhat extra than the remaining 2's. I mean the name HOT suggests the hot setting.

I've got the 2010 Platinum and depending on the amount of cold from which you start, the triple hot setting can be a nice start to a cold seat.

If it's near freezing (yes folks, that's what we are getting here in Houston), I like to start with 3, after about 3 minutes of that, I back off to 2 and about 5 minutes of that and I back off to 1. About 5 minutes of 1 and I'm WELL DONE!

It's a 15 minute commute to work and when I pulled in the parking lot this morning, I was still on 1.

I find all three settings definitely too hot for comfort after taking far too long to even feel warm--like 5-10 minutes. I would like them to be warm after starting the truck, turning the seat heat on and then scraping the ice from the windows--but they're not.

Hot seats... how about the cooling of them? How well do they cool off? I hear that they are not like many of the other makers who have "ventilated" seats. Do the Platinum seats actually "blow" cool air or do they just cool off like they heat up? Thanks!
