Default Heated mirrors

Installed stage3 towing mirrors in my 2014 stx, my truck mirrors didn't have signals, puddle lights or were heated. Signals work, puddle lights work but no heat at mirror. Replaced my climate control with one that has the defrost button still no heat or light on for defrost. Suspect I don't have the relay for defrost. Anyone else try to tackle this problem?

I'd like to get mine working too, (2011 XLT Screw), changed the mirrors, signals work. I have a defrost button, but think it is for the windshield only, It looks like there should be a second button for the rear window/mirrors, do you have that? Do you have the p/n for the module? I was going to run power directly to the defrost element in the mirrors, but saw there are four wires going to the element itself, might be smarter to get the proper module.

I checked mine further , the relays in place and the fuses also they are in the fuse box under the hood. It may have something to do with not having the rear window with defrost. It may need that to complete the circuit

If you do not have the rear defrost, the mirrors will come on, but the light on the button will not.
Check the mirrors on a foggy morning or with a surface thermometer to see if they are working or not.

Took the rear seat out verified which connector was for the rear window . It has a larger wire for feeding the power and a smaller one for the feed back to light the defrost light . I installed a 500 ohm resistor with a jumper between the two now the light works.

I had a temp probe taped to the mirror , the light was on and no change in temp on the glass. I figured I'd take a brake and took the probe of the mirror when I did I could feel the heat on the mirror checked the other mirror I could feel the heat there also I guess my meter cant read surface temp so they probably worked the whole time , except the light which now is fixed

I know since I disconnected my back glass mine don't work either, has anyone found a workaround for ditching our back glass and just using the heated mirror function?

Mine never had a heated rear window, behind the passenger rear seat I found a connector that had one heavy gauge wire and one small gauge wire. I put a jumper with a 500 ohm resistor between the 2 and the climate control light now comes on. I don't know if you need the resistor or not, someone posted that they read 300 ohms on there rear window

My stx did not have heated mirrors or back glass. I bought a climate control off ebay for $44 that only has the heated mirror button. It lights up and the mirrors work great, plug and play.
