Default Headlights stopped working

Hey,

I have retro fit source HID's and they've been great for 2 years, My relay failed so I got it replaced but i still have no lights, I powered the harness from the relay connector and the lights came on. I'm thinking maybe a fuse is blown in the truck, I lost my manual long ago, but i was told to check Fuse 16 and 17, both are good.

Not sure where else to check, I know the ballasts are good and the relay is brand new

Check your main harness plug that originally went to your headlights. I had this issue awhile back and could not figure out what was wrong until i accidentally hit the brights and they turned on but not the low beams on my HID's. come to find out the pins on my oem headlight plug had become corroded and were not making contact anymore. I had to clean them and everything was all good after that. Hope this helps you out

I'll give that a try in the morning and see what happens, although the connectors looked fairly weather tight, I even cleaned the driver side OEM connector and taped it up so nothing can short it.

I have a retrofit set of HIDs in my truck as well and had this problem. It ended up being the wiring harness, as yours being two years old I am guessing it is the first generation, and now there is a second generation out. I got that one for free from the person I bought my first one from, and that one works much better. It also looks alot better put together and high quality. Just to get by until you get a new harness try shaking the Morimoto part and they should flicker on and off for a little bit, until they go on again.

The mormito part is brand new, thats the relay.

Does anyone have a PDF of the truck manual i'd like to know what fuses I could check on the truck as well before I start pulling all my wires.

This is what happened to mine. Notice a pin rusted off which was the main power feed.
