Default Headlight Upgrade

Wanted to upgrade headlight look without spending too much, got 8000k clear white bulbs. Now I want to know if anyone has inserted led strips or painted stock headlights themselves.

Did you just straight paint, or prep and primer?

neh, I just gave it a light scuffing with a grey scour pad and then shot adhesion promoter and then the paint and clear.. the reflectors I tinted using the same process, but I shot the paint on the back side of the reflector

I know you can buy the whole headlights with clear reflectors on ebay for 150-200 bones.. but I've never heard of anyone selling the clear lens by itself

I'm just saying, those are not 8000k - 8000k is vivid blue, annoying blue.

As for customization ideas, you're the artist, it's your truck. Do whatever you like.
Leds? I like them, either halos or an audi style, I think those are sharp if done right.

Blackout the bowl and go a full retrofit? I absolutely agree, I have a retrofit, and couldn't be happier. (bilinvic)

Your ideas are good, there's nothing wrong with whatever you want, EXCEPT eyelashes - don't do that.

Yea would never do eyelashes, lol. Does anyone know where I can get matching paint? I have metallic sterling grey 2011 F150. I want to paint the headlight trim to match the truck paint.
