Default Haunted dash lights?

Just as the title states. I was cleaning my truck today. Glanced inside and noticed my dash lights were on. Strange. Watched them till they went out. Then continued washing my truck. Few minutes later. Notices they were on again... Normal?

Guess no one has witnessed this phenomena. Just now, walked into my garage stood by my open passenger window and the lights turned on on my gauges :/. Stood there for a moment, they went out. And turned back on after about 30 seconds. What the ****.

What the **** is right... Maybe a wire short in the keyless entry? I doubt the truck has a motion sensor on it.

It would make sense if these trucks used proximity keys (push-button start). But they don't. Try unhooking the negative battery cable for 10 minutes then reconnect to see if that helps. The on-board battery saver should cut power to the dash after about 20 minutes if it sees a large current drain

I've already tried the negative battery post. Thought it worked till I seen it tonight.

If you push the button on the gear shift as if you were to try and shift with no keys in, that happens

I see your key in the ignition. Th key is not turned at all is it? Just wondering about the light sensor for auto headlamps and such.

The key was not turned. I've had it happened with the keys inside and doors locked also.

I've seen someone post about this before... And I'm pretty sure nobody figured out why it was happening, but they also had the key in the ignition.

I've been to the dealer. And it did it once for them when I was getting my wheel alignment. And they found it odd also.

Tonight was the first time I've had the key in and noticed it.
