I have a 2010 which has the older version (not MFT) and I've been pretty happy with it. I upgraded the maps and Sync at the beginning of the year since it was 5 yrs old (older?). I was pleasantly surprised that it's quicker with less delay overall. The maps didn't change much that I noticed but they were v2.1 when I bought my truck new in 2011 and v3.1 was out for a year.
I wanted a built-in GPS so I don't have to deal with a separate GPS unit. I've traveled over 6 hrs since the upgrade and it's worked well and found everything I needed (gas and food).
The only thing I use in dash navigation for is to see upcoming streets. I have never relied on any of my vehicles to get me where I need to go. It is much easier to say a location in my phone and have google find it for me.
The screen is nice, but I do not trust the maps at all. I grew up using old school paper maps, can't seem to even find them anymore lol
So I use various phone tools, my fav are offline maps like Here Maps, navmii USA Maps.me and Waze. In the end almost all stock navs are a complete joke. They are getting better, but so far behind everything else imho.
We looked at a XC90 at a local auto show and that nav has a bigger screen and even that was a joke for a Volvo $85k now made in china SUV, with a heavy glare screen and well I just was not impressed.
Sorry this is just how I feel, but it's still nice to have the screen to see what you need to see as a guide per-say.
I still use my head and so called sense of direction to get around.

Something like this or smaller will be on my radar with an ant-glare film. But this one is just insane and again you have to be out of warranty, as I think otherwise you screw yourself.
