Default Has anyone figured out how to shut off the backup sensor alarm?

Yes, I've looked in the manual. When I have to boat hooked up to the hitch it's constantly beeping when backing up to the boat ramp. It's hard to hear the boat driver over the alarm. I've looked and don't see any place I can temporarily disable it.

when it starts going off, press the odometer reset button once

it's not a permanent disable though; it will come back on every time you put it in reverse; you just have to keep turning it off

Can't you disable it while scrolling through the settings in the cluster? For some reason I think I remember seeing it in there and being able to turn it off completely

There are two ways to disable it. you can disable it completely from the menu in the cluster...OR each time yu put it in reverse on the cluster is should give you the option to disable it for that one time you are currently backing up.

I have a 2010 with the Nav and all. When I back up to get my boat all I have to do is hit the "Reset"button then it disables it.

Well duh, Thanks guys, the reset button does exactly what I need. I will go back through the manual and re-read it again.

It will reset to being ON every time you cycle the ignition ON again. Whether you turn it off by going through the menu or when shifting to reverse, it will still turn back on the next time you start the truck.

^^ That's correct, you have to hit reset each time to shut it off, if you have started the truck again since the last time you did it.

If you have a trailer with brakes hooked up (7 pin connector) it automatically will be disabled when you shift into reverse with the trailer cable connected.
