I was having issues until I turned the truck toward the garage door. The transmitter is really weak. Now that it is programmed I have troubles getting it to open or close unless I'm facing the garage door or it's close.

Not that its the same but I just did my wifes toyota avalon last week. My opener is an old Genie with a learn button. It isn't rolling sequence so I needed to hold 1 & 3 to wipe the previous codes. Then I needed to hold 1 and the button on the handheld until the light flashed. After that I needed to hit the learn button on the opener then 1 again within 30 seconds. Worked fine after that

i first cleared the codes and reset the code on the garage door then learned the remotes to the new code and then had my daughter push the button on the garage door motor while i sat in the truck and it worked the first time

i would clear the codes on the truck for u guys having problems ... who knows how many people pushed them buttons when lookin at the truck

Make sure you are using the instructions in the manual for the correct opener installed on your truck. My new Platinum DOES NOT have the Homelink. It has the other one Ford uses. I tried programming mine several time using the Homelink method, which is what I have on my other cars. Duhhh! Once I found the correct steps, it worked fine,

Maybe try and extend your door opener antenna? I've got a little wire about a foot long. Not sure if you can splice more wire to it and run it to the right above the door opening.

No issues here, but mine is a 20 year old dip switch type Genie screw drive.

Took me FOREVER to learn how to do this on my Vette, which utilizes the same system as our new F150. It's MUCH easier to use two people and I was unable to program either the Vette or the truck without my being in the vehicle and the DOOR CLOSED....! Good luck to y'all. It's definitely a nice feature...
