Default Halos to turn signals?

Anyone tried wiring halos to turn signals? Im gonna use amber halo, was wondering if it would blink with turn signal or if voltage is too weak in running light stage to activate them.

Surely can be done, just add a resistor

I would think so long as you had a ballast that would support the continuous on/off voltage, that they would work.

For? Just regular bulbs in the turn signals now. If I wire direct to them, it drops voltage to make the running lights work unless I'm wrong about that

The resistor or ballast is for the LED's. They won't pull as much electricity as your lamps. If you put too much juice to them they can fry the LED's.

I'd check with the manufacturer about the load on the ballast. If it can handle constant on/off or if it requires a warm up for the ballasts even though there is minimal draw from the LED's. If everything is good from them then I say wire it into the lighting wiring and see how it does. Worst case scenario is you burn up a set of LED's.

I prefer solder and shrink wrap with silicone (RTV) sealant at the ends of the heat shrink to prevent any moisture from corroding the splices.
