Had the 'moan in park' TSB done - trans temp too low now?

Sure seems like you have a sensor problem.

An incorrectly sized hole in the separator plate, the noise you hear is the hydraulic fluid being forced thru a smaller hole and vibrating the whole separator plate.
I was told that it does not hurt anything, just very annoying. The fix is to replace the separator plate, with a redesigned one with a correct size hole. But that requires taking the transmission apart to do it, so there is always a risk of them damaging something else in the process, like the did on mine!

It's instructions to dealers for certain known issues. It is NOT a recall that they will pay for.
Trans temp is a screen in the info cluster under Gauges. I don't think all trim levels or years have it.

So after sending an email to my SA with a link to this thread they got in touch with Ford. I'm taking it in so they can check 'temp difference between hoses and the bypass valve' on their instruction.
I'm not sure where the trans thermostat will fit in but we will see how this goes. thanks to all those who contributed their temps and weighed in on my question.

The thermostat is above the seperator plate in the trans housing. Have to drop the pan and valve body to get to it. I remember reading in the tsb or service manual when I did mine about being careful with it because after removing the valve body it can fall out and get damaged.
