Mbrp single exhaust

I looked into getting a used mbrp catback but found many reviews stating that there was significant drone, and that the aluminized versions rusted very quickly.

How's she goin' eh?
The 4.0L had drone. I dunno about the fullsize kits. I tried not to rev it too much as it could be loud.

I have the 3" 409 SS single MBRP exhaust with resonator. It doesn't drone, per say, but is pretty aggressive sounding. It was much louder in the cab than I thought it would be, but not so much that you can't comfortably have a conversation or listen to the radio. Even with OD locked out during towing, the sound isn't too overbearing.

Not really. Bends are too tight after the muffler. I spoke to MBRP. They do offer a quieter muffler that replaces the standard one, but is not offered as an option when purchasing the kit. Also, they said it was more restrictive and would cost performance when installed. They didn't elaborate, as they had not done any dyno testing of system with that muffler in place. I chose to opt with the loudness; not wanting to the defeat the purpose of the exhaust upgrade.
