Default Had the 'moan in park' TSB done - trans temp too low now?

I had the 'moan in park' TSB done on my transmission about 4 months ago and noticed my transmission temps now seem really low.

For instance: cruise at 60mph for about 45 minutes, flat roadway, 72f ambient= 131f.

It seems like I was seeing around 190f before?

I had the tsb done for the trans pump leaking on my 2011 FX4. They replaced the pump and seals and after that my trans temp was low like yours and would not heat up to the correct temp. The dealer had to replace the trans thermostat in the trans that was stuck in the open position. I think they damaged it when they replaced the pump.

They damaged the speed sensor ans wiring harness when they did the TSB, ended up shifting to 1st at 60mph, almost crashed the truck, it was "fun"!

So I would not be surprised if they damaged something else in your transmission while doing the TSB.

ugh. Well I need to get a visit in I guess. The highest I've seen it is in the upper 130's when ambient was in the 90's. I thought it was a good by-product of the work, sounds like it might not be.

thanks I will get with them then.

So what do you guys think is the normal operating temp. range? 190 in years past seems like getting close to the upper end.

Mine runs in the 190s normally, goes to low 200s when I am towing a heavy load.

195-196 once it's going, seldom fluctuates. I don't tow at the moment, that would increase it.

So do any of you that have had this problem know where this trans thermostat is located? I guess I'm, really asking how long / big of a job could this end up being at the dealer (if that's what it is and sounds like it will be) ?
