How do you like it I'm at 3.31 right now with 275/70r18 with a tuner. Let's hear the pros and cons. At 65 I'm at about 1600 rpms drive mostly to base and back but do occasionally see the highway

Would do well on a 5.0. You need to rev to,get power and the better gears help that happen and happen sooner. On a turbo vehicle sometimes it's not better ...

I went from 3.31 to 3.73 in my SCab 5.0. I'm running stock 18" wheels and stock tires and don't plan on changing tire size or going to bigger wheels. The 3.73 was a huge improvement but 4.10 would be great too. If I were running even stock 20" wheels I'd have gone to 4.10.

In your situation I'd recommend 4.10s no question. You'll love them.

Hoping to install my 4.10s this month. I wanted to go with a deeper gear but do a fair amount of highway. 4.10s should put me back to close to what my 3.55 stock gearing was like.

I run 275/70-18s during the winter and with the 4.10s and winter blend fuel average about 16mpg and turn about 2150 Rpms at 70 it's easily my favorite mod next to tuning it and you can get factory ford gears from the dealer

I have the 3.73's in the SuperCrew version of the Tremor.

PRO's - Great off the line acceleration.
CON's - Absolutely crappy highway MPG's.

I just went 2950 miles down to Florida from Chicago and back and I averaged 16.9mpg for the entire trip. I was typically getting about 17mpg around Chicago exclusively on the highway and thought maybe a dirty air filter , but nope....it's definitely the gears. My average speed was 70-80mph the entire road trip but I usually hovered around 75mph. Knowing the majority of interstates are 70mph that puts you right inline with a tad over, and yes.....it sucks. So expect WORSE with the 4.10's.

Only way to get 21mpg sticker rating is to do 60mph.....and no one does that on the expressway.

Keep in mind most of us are running a larger tire as well. I'm around 14-15 highway with 3.55s and 35s.

Running deeper gears an not changing tire size will net you worse mpgs.

As was said, larger tire diameter and going to a 3.73 of 4.10 should get you back to the original rpms at highway speeds.
