Default grille question

these are not my pictures, but I currently have the black grille and was wondering if the chrome grille will a direct fit. If so I want to purchase the chrome one and paint it.

Thanks,
Jeff

As long as you get it with the full surround, you'll be good!

From Ford only the whole thing. You might find just an insert on eBay.

Thanks,

You will also need the grill surround from the chrome grill. The chrome grill (pictured) is a 2011-12 grill and the black grill (pictured) is a 2013-14 grill. Both grill surrounds will fit your hood, but the 2011-12 grill will not fit in the 2013-14 grill surround.

Try not to break the clips like they do in the video.

Wrap a crowbar in a cloth and pry the top outwards while applying pressure on the bottom of the grille upwards. I took mine off and all the clips were intact.
