Default Scratches in my brand new wheels.....what should I do??

Ok, so I need your guy's opinion! I tend to be VERY particular about my stuff, so let me know if I am being too picky or lend some advice. I just purchased new wheels KMC XD series Hoss/Nitto Trail Grapplers/and 6" BDS lift. Literally the minute I got home I realized there were two perfectly straight scratches about 1/2 in long and a gouge in one of the wheels, and another 1/2 in perfectly straight scratch on another wheel (these scratches couldn't possibly be from road debris, they have to be from a tool). Now, I understand they will eventually get some blemishes over time, but I literally had then on 20 min and noticed the scratches/gouge. So, who do I contact the off road store that put the wheels on, or the manufacturer? My worry is the chrome will begin to prematurely crack and peel......I need advice!!!!

I would have a talk with the shop owner. Explain him the situation very clearly, stay calm and do NOT mention anything about this site within the first 20 minutes. He has to feel the decision comes from him, without pressure. If you're not getting anywhere, you could slip in that the Internet is a pretty powerful tool and blah-blah-blah...! Good luck!!

More than likely it came from the shop. Most shops have one or two guys that are experts and the rest are novice on the bigger wheels. I had that happen before and they replaced the wheel without issue. The sooner you return the better though. More than a couple of days and they might not accept responsibility. If they do, be sure to let us know that they are a reputable shop as people are quick to send out negative feedback but seldom to send out the positive.
