I put a rocker switch for backup lights in the area to the right of the synch port. There is only room for one so if and when I need another not sure what I will do. I am sure most people who don't have a Ford think it's factory. I have an FX4, not sure how the other trucks are set up in that area.

To mount them in the center console will take a lot of work. The only entrance for wires is on the back at the top right under the lip ( I know I just installed LEDs that turn on when I open th lid) it will take a ton of work and you would have to remove the center console. If you try to drill holes in the front of the console you don't have an easy way to run the wires.

I centered mine between steering column and dome light switch. Just measure out and stagger x number of switches and it will look stock!

The switch to the left of the dimmer is to raise/lower the brake/accelerator pedals.

The area I'm planning to use is the trim piece directly below the AUX/SYNC input. It's just a single piece that comes off very easily and can fit multiple switches, if they are small enough. There's a hole right behind it to pass wires through. With my truck being an FX4, the trim is black and black switches will make it quite the stealth setup I think.

EDIT: These are the switches I ordered a couple days ago. Click They're nice and small, strong enough to handle low power items or to drive relays. Purchased them for $1.08 from Mouser Electronics.

Nice ideas. I like Jmoriseys setup, I have a lighted switch similar in size to his, I might try and do the same thing he did, except on the other side of the steering wheel, it looks really good!

Little green bar is the power on indicator.

thats also a good spot. Ill have to weigh my options and see which i like better, usually I have that tray right in front full of stuff though, so it might get in the way of operating the switch, heh, thanks for the great ideas guys.
