Yes I am running Tasker... I actually ran a second cigarette lighter under my dash that is only on with key .

Did you take the factory radio out? Or how did you get around the *****?

Physical radio is still in truck behind tablet , controls pulled out can be plugged in at glove box if needed but daily operation only requires steering wheel controls

This seems like a great idea but only if you are using a 4G tablet. That way the gps and music streaming would work better. Like I said great idea, I will do this when I get a 4G tablet. Good work guys!

ive seen a lot of guys on here are running the xyboard 8.2 which I believe is a Verizon 4g tablet but I chose not to go this route as I did not want to acquire any new monthly fees, I can simply tether my tablet with my phone if any data is needed but for the most part its just used for music no data needed.

Has anyone done a samsung note 10.1 yet? I am on deployment right now but I has composite material at my disposal so I ordered the scosche kit and want to modify it out here. From the looks of it I may have to deviate slightly from a factory look but want to see if anyone has done it already. Also does anyone have a pic of the clearance to the top of the hvac controls?

Just finished my "install". I bought a xyboard and got it shipped to Canada, as it's not sold here. Was planning on using it, as it fits the dou ble din perfectly, but got scared off, and ended up using my blackberry Playbook that I already had. The Android is much more comp licated, and I want it as simple as possible. Tasker to is also very confusing for me. The Playbook also fits the double din perfectly, but I don't think I'm going to use it. I used a peice of 1/4" hardboard that I glued onto my Playbook, and it fits in the cd slot perfectl. I just pull it out when iI get out, and plug it in in the console. Easy, cheap, and super clean! Maybe one day I will install it permanently with the double din face plate, but for now, I'm happy!

I still have use of my cd player, my volume dial, and can remove it quickly and easily to type, surf, and to bring in to the house to transfer data. I am having difficulty syncing my phone and Playbook at the same time. My phone is set to primary phone, but it is hit and miss connecting phone and tablet to sync simultaneously. I really want to avoid using the line in, as wireless connectivity is paramount to keeping the tablet removable. If Ihave to use line in, iI will inevitably end up using my double din trim kit and hiding the wires. I have first generation sync, so perhaps that is why I am having trouble syncing multiple devices. Any insight would be welcome!
For reference, in case anyone is considering a Playbook in double dim trim, it is a perfect fit astetcaly, but will need some modification to make the charger port and headphone jack work. Name: 20140116_221827_zps0df65e20.jpg
