Gears?

I bought a 2012 FX4 used and I am not sure what gears it has and if it has the max tow package. Is there a way I can find this out?

I think all fx4 had 3.73 gears

Check sticker in door jamb and there will be an axle code. Look up code online.

I'm sure it's a locked 3.73 like he said though.

Checked it and yes it is the locked 3.73

You might have a trailer tow package as well, minor difference with the Max tow package (smaller mirrors, and a mysterious rear bumper)

I think this still works on the newer Fords, I know it does at least up to 2010 models.
