It's all good. Once you're up at the peak hp rpm, torque becomes irrelevant. Since there's only a 5 hp difference between the ecoboost and 5.0, I'm not too concerned.

just throwing that out for you...
I dont know squat about sled pull, but I dont think the tranny will let you start from a stop in any gear other than 1 and 2. Maybe it's different in 4Lo, just a thought...

I *thought* you could start in 3rd in low, but I may be wrong...

Obviously i'll test it before trying.

If you have the 5.0 use 1st in 4x4 low, 2nd is way too high I know from experience. Eco is fine in 2nd.

Well I just hooked up to a tree and floored it in 3rd low and all four tires dug a hole in the dirt. I don't think 3rd low will be an issue with my 4.56s....

You should share a video of your pull after you do it.

Sorry but even though the #s arent "that far off" there is a huge difference in how they pull. Id do 2nd gear max and let er rev till you get a feel how she will pull. Pullings more about how smooth you get the power to the ground. If you have to let off and the rpms die your gonna miss having torque.
