Gas tank exploding??
Heya guys,
This is not an F150 question, but I was hoping someone could help me figure this out. Here is the story.
My buddy has a 2011 Toyota tundra TRD, we had a cold spell this past week where it got down to 48 below. He was driving to work last Friday and got a 1/4 mile from his house and his gas tank exploded. No fire ball or anything, just blew apart. He told me about it and I figured he was telling tales and it just cracked, but looking at it later that day, it no crap exploded even blowing pieces off of the rock shield under the tank, it was quite impressive. He said he had a quarter tank of gas and did nothing different than he usually does, and just drove the truck for about ten hours the day before coming back from Anchorage.
Anyone ever hear of such a thing?
I told him he should have bought a Ford, but he won't listen.
