Does anyone know if that suspension between the fx4 and Lariat is the same? I.e, is the fx4 heavier or stiffer?

I thought i read somewhere they were the same the FX4 just had a skid plate

 

Would like to know too. My 2010 FX4 is very stiff compared to my 07 Lariat. New one has Max Tow and weighs more though. Miss the ride of my 07. Love the look of the FX4 package (had an 04) but miss the comfort of the 07 Lariat.

 

In the 04-08 I believe the FX4 shocks were bilsteins, but I could be wrong and I don't know about the 09+!

Fx4 package has differently valved shocks. I read that on here. I like the way mine rides. But I really don't think it's that different in the end from a Larissa ride. When I test drovethe lariat and compared it to my fx4 I couldn't tell the difference. Mine is a 2010.

 

I have an 11 Lariat with "Off Road" package which consists of the ELD, Skid Plates, Different valved front shocks. To my knowledge that makes it the same as an FX4 other then the head/Tail lights. Performance wise I think they are the same, at least for the 11 model year.
