I put on a set of 5100s with less than 5000 miles on my truck. They made a huge difference.

Hwm3 - Are they different part numbers?

I know on the Mustang Ford claims "premium shocks/struts" on the Brembo package cars, but the part number is the same as the non-Brembo cars.
Did a little more research and it appears that the criteria for different (part #'ed) shock absorbers include:
  • wheel base
  • payload package
  • model
  • and the possible combinations of the above.

I have a 12 fx4 screw 11500 tow package and I just bought
a 13 stx rcsb 4x4 6800 gvw. They both have the same part# on the sticker on the rear shocks

hmm... well seems like the 5100's have pretty good reviews. Im pretty sure I can get them from AutoAnything for a pretty good deal so I'll probably check them out soon. Wish it was easier to install in the front, I hate paying businesses to do something I can figure out myself.

Most Vato-Zones and O'Reilys will let you bum a spring compresser for a deposit.
