Default fx4 non heated mirrors?

This may sound dumb but does my 11 fx4 eco not have heated mirrors? My 04 lariat did so it seems odd that they wouldn't, they are power folding and drivers is auto darkening if that helps. I see no button for heated mirrors though??

Do you have the rear defrost? The button for that controls the mirrors as well

Check out your build data on etis.ford.com by using your VIN. Not sure if it says or not but the list is extensive.

Here is a picture of the switch, on the right with the "R".

As you may know, this indicates the rear window defroster. As stated this also controls the heated mirrors.

Since you mention power fold, you have the FX Luxury package. This specifically calls out heat, auto-dimming, memory (drivers side) and integrated turn signals.

I would like to know more about what sparked this thought in the summer??

etis.ford.com report will likely show this as:
With Driver Electric/Heated Mirror
With Pass Convex Elec/Heated Mirror

You will probably also see reference to "With Memory Package" to account for the memory features included in the FX Luxury package.

**etis report can be a bit misleading. I have seen serveral examples of confirmed truck options showing up as not being on the truck in etis. For instance, a 3.55 e-locker (L9 code) truck showing up in etis as "Less Elect Locking Differential"

If you have other option questions, let me know.

Thanks for the info only reason I questioned is because I have been thinking of upgrading to tow mirrors. Speaking of which since my truck didn't come with them but has the built in brake controller I'm rated at just over 9k not the max tow of 11,300 correct?

If you are looking at towing mirrors, I assume you have the standard towing package. 2013 ecoboost 4X4 with 145" wheelbase (supercrew 5.5 bed) lists max trailer weight of 9,600 lbs. 157" wheelbase (supercrew 6.5 bed) lists 9,500 lbs.

Max trailer tow package with the 3.73 limited slip (B6) axle, tow mirrors etc. is required for 11,200 on 4x4 and 11,300 on 4X2.

Keep an eye on the rear window defrost. I'm sure you're aware but there are tons of threads about the window shattering from the heat. I unplugged the window to keep the mirrors but now the button doesn't light up. Still works tho.

I have a 2011 limited and learned over the past winter that the rear defrost runs the mirrors. My old 2008 king ranch was automatic.
