Default Future of the ecoboost

What will the second gen of this motor entail? Has there been any rumors or data that has been released?

This will open up the can but to me, if they correct the CAC issue, its a great engine the way it is. Maybe a way to remove or discard the sludge build up in the IC pipes.

I'm sure for the new gen trucks they are going to increase the hp and tq numbers with a simple re-tune. Once they get the CAC issues down a lot more people will give the engine a look.

It doesn't seem to be stopping many people, the EB is out selling every other motor in the F150. I would say just correct the issues (if upgraded parts are needed)in the existing and leave it alone. The sequel is never better than the original..

Well, Ford is offering an EB (T.T.) in the new 2015 Mustang. So, I would say the future is bright.

They're canning the Ecoboost in the F150's. Going to add direct injection for the V8's
