Yes.. I guess the way I look at it is this -- if I, by being a participant in his "path", avoided him from killing someone else in a smaller, perhaps, more vulnerable vehicle, then it was worth it. He was pinned in as there are 3 lanes of traffic each way -- he WAS going to hit someone -- badly.
At least you were in that monster and able to take it

Here's a couple shots of mine, finally found these. It's kinda hard to tell, but the middle of the bed was actually 8" or more higher than it should be. You can see that a little bit in comparison to the left wheel.

Yep. Argued for awhile, I was not happy about owning a vehicle less than one month and facing this. Biggest cost was the frame at $7500 for the part, IIRC, and several $$$ more for the labor. Bending it back wasn't an option. Added stuff up to about $34k and he said he wasn't bothering to put more costs on there, just officially totaled it.

Ouch!! Okll I just got a call from the adjuster who looked at the truck.. It's a total loss.. She indicated that the rear suspension was destroyed, the axle was snapped, the bed obviously destroyed and the cab was even partially crumpled behind the rear seats. Way too much damage to fix according to her. Frankly speaking, I'm happy with that -- I don't think I'd be happy to see what a shop could do for that amount of damage. I've owned a car or two that had been resurrected and they're never the same -- maybe they track down the road funny or whatever.. Thanks guys!!
