Default Front brake shims??

I have a 2009 F150 FX4 4x4 and am replacing front and rear pads and rotors.

Rear went well, but I'm having a senior moment with the front brakes now, there are two thin spacer (?) shims on the outer side of each of the pads and unfortunately when disassembling I missed how they face when reinstalling.

Trying to find a picture or something to tell me.
Don't have the manual, and a internet search has not come up with anything so far.

Anybody??

TIA
Al

Found out they were part of the original pads.

Turned out my truck didn't have the shims, the parts guy wasn't sure which ones did.
The shims turned out to be just backing on the original pads.
