Default Free Maps?

I was at the Auto Show at the Texas State Fair a couple weeks ago and mentioned something about the differences between the 2012 Nav that I have compared to the 2013 MFT. I complained that because of all the construction and new exits going up near my house that I would need to shell out $200-ish for new maps one day and he ensured me the first map update is free. Anyone ever hear of this? I don't remember his name but he was a salesman from a local dealer. Is that true?

sharper, I was talking with the salesguy that sold me my '11. While looking at the '13 Nav. he said that the Nav updates free through Google Maps. He's a good guy, and I don't thnk he would intentionally tell me anything false. But, this did sound to good to be true. I checked with the Ford Rep. on Mustangsource, and that ain't gonna happen. So, my guess is the first ain't free either.

The my ford touch systems seem to use an SD card that holds all map info. Atleast this is how my mom's 13' escape MFT system is, I would assume the F150 MFT is the same...
Perhaps they send you an SD card for the first update free??

2013 F150 is the same. It would be great if they would let us download the quarterly updates.
