Default Would you have purchased your truck if you had to pay cash only, no finance

Just a curious question. If buying a truck and the only option was you had to pay cash, no financing for trucks or cars, would you have purchased your truck and paid cash? Would you trade as often or even buy the same model truck you have today? I am curious how much financing influences a buyer in what they purchase.

Myself I would still have purchased what I did, when I did, and will wait till later to see if I will buy another. I am getting to old and really I think I am on my last pickup.

Yes I would have. I put 1/2 down on my 12 in cash. Probably should have saved another year or two and purchased outright but I didn't want too wait anymore. lol

To get the extra $1000 off at the time I financed through Ford Credit but have since paid the truck off. Great to be retired and not have a truck note!

When I bought mine I was in a position to pay cash but found out that the price of the truck otd would be $1,000.00 more if I didn't finance half with Ford Credit. Financed it, and paid it off before the first payment was due. So, yes I would have paid cash. When I was young payments didn't bother me, but now I won't buy anything unless there is enough in the account to pay for it.

No I would not, I'm a firm believer in using someone elses money to make large purchases.
