Long way from South Detroit eh?

It's a play on Journey's song. There is no south Detroit. The river is south and there is only southwest Detroit or down river.

Windsor is south of Detroit, I was born and live in Windsor thus I was born and raised in south Detroit.

So you actively commit false statements and/or less than accurate statements? LOL just jabbing ya but your portraying a liar by saying you live in South Detroit under your avatar. Dunno if you figured that out yet.

It's more to see whose paying attention. I don't see it as lying, im south of Detroit and Windsor has been called a suburb of Detroit. Even if it's in another country. We have people here who commute everyday by car and bus to Detroit and SE Michigan to work.

I get Detroit news, I have family who was raised in Detroit before moving to Canada during the riots of 1967. The remaining family has moved out of Detroit by about an hour and a half. I know my way around Detroit and the surrounding areas.

I consider myself as someone with unnoficial dual status. A detroiter and a windsorite. I am eligible to have dual status or both countries through my grandfather but I would have to track down family that hasn't spoken in 30+ years

It was nice to have this the other day. Really I only "need" this a handful of days a year. Our average temp this time of year is 40. But we get cold snaps in the midwest. It was -2F last night so it was nice to plug in the truck. But its supposed to be back to 60F on Tuesday. Probably won't need it then

Not gonna lie though it was a nice find for sure.

I wanna pack up and move to Florida every winter here in New England and it'll get to 0 degrees F a couple times.
Meh. You get used to it. I've lived up here all my life and I can't imagine living elsewhere. That might certainly change as I get older but the cost of living is reasonable here and I do have a good job.....

This thread is reminding me to put an extension cord in the truck so I can start plugging it in at work on these cold days.

I used to have to use my block heater all the time. Then I bought a house with a heated garage. Problem solved.

Does anyone think it odd that Michigan isn't included in the standard option? Except for PowerStrokes, I've never had one standard.

I don't have the list of states, but 7 always seemed odd to me. Should be around 18, probably.
