Which OBD II device do you have? Is it USB, bluetooth or wifi? Mine is a wifi MX and I know I have to have it connected to my laptop before starting Forscan or it won't work. I have to have all other connections disabled.

Forscan shows it is connected or do you lose connection when you try to do something?

I run forscan and it works until it's read the vehicle data. When that's finished I get the message saying no elm found

So, it shows you all of the modules and then it says no elm found or it doesn't get that far? Down at the bottom it should show connection status.

Make sure that your elm is in fact connected to your laptop before starting Forscan.

Correct. It shows the modules and whatnot then disconnects. It's a Bluetooth and is connected.

your elm 327 might be bad. Double check your Bluetooth on your comp. Connect it to something else to verify it doesn't disconnect. Just my 2 cents. I haven't been home to actually try all of this cool shat yet. Soon.

It may just be my computer. Ive used the elm quite a few times with the torque app and it works just fine. Who knows. Not a big deal to me.

I just got remote start working. The Ford dealer cut my Amazon key for free and went home and programmed it. Truck starts. Next up is I have some hex values for the IC I am going to try.
