Appreciate this follow up, Chris. I've been curious about this and hoped someone would check into it further.

It was me and my truck for the record, that it DID NOT WORK ON, and is: 2013 Lariat, F150, 2 wheel drive. All of my as built is posted earlier, and no, the switch has already been sold.

I have not seen a 14 or below, with 2 wd, successfully add this. The ones that have that I have seen add this are all 13 and above and in the case of the 13's, are all 4 wd.

I wonder if these all have elocker and that is why?

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Initially i thought the ABS module was different between Hill assist and no hill assist, but comparing an FX4 to an XLT i found out that the part numbers were identical.
The last three posts on the subject got me thinking again, maybe it's the 2WD vs 4WD. I just looked in my parts catalog and the ABS control module is different between the 2WD and 4WD trucks, this is what I found:

2WD ABS module: DL3Z-2C218-C
4WD ABS module: DL3Z-2C219-B

My educated guess is that the 4WD module has extra circuits and programming to deal with when the 4X4 is engaged.

Maybe if you get an ABS module from a 4x4 you might be able to do it, but that might be very risky, as you do not know how the truck will behave with a different ABS module. There might be a very good reason why Ford used to different modules.

Yep I think you may have hit the nail on the head! When I did activate, I got advance track error and 4 wd error.

Well, I think you all need to give kudos to Dennis Ritchie in every single post you make, because without him, none of us would be using much of anything related to hardware, software or the Internet right now.

So I guess this means we not only have to give credit to every single person who FIRST tried something and got it to work, but we should give credit to everyone that tried something and it failed, too, right?

LOL. Just kidding. But ... yea.
